Before visiting your network health care provider, check to see if you’ll need to make a copayment.

You can find out your copayment amount by looking in your benefit booklet, health plan contract or by calling the toll-free customer service number on your member ID card.

Keep in mind that copayments are due at the time of service. Here are three tips to help you manage your copayment costs:

  • Always carry your current Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma member ID card.
  • Call the precertification or preauthorization number on the back of your member ID card when required.
  • When you get to the participating doctor’s office, urgent care center or hospital, simply show your member ID card.

To make sure that your doctor, hospital or other health care provider is in your network, use the Provider Finder® online search tool or call customer service.

When you’re on the go, you can access Provider Finder with our free BCBSOK mobile app for iPhone® or AndroidTM smart phones. To download our newest mobile feature in the App Store or Android Market, search for the keywords “Blue Cross Blue Shield Oklahoma.”

As always, in case of emergency, go straight to the nearest hospital.
